Recently, Stanford University and Elsevier Data Repository have released the list of the "World's Top 2% Scientists 2024". The list is based on a systematic analysis of citation data from the Scopus database, using multiple comprehensive indicators such as citations, H index, HM factor, etc., to select the top 2% of scientists in the world from nearly 7 million scientists, divided into 22 fields and 176 subfields. The list provides a measure of scientists' long-term research performance, reflecting their academic influence in a more objective and authentic way.

A total of six scholars from School of Economics and Management at Dalian University of Technology were selected for the "2024 Annual Scientific Influence Ranking", namely Zhang Zhen, Tang Ming, Liu Yang, Pan Xiongfeng, Ma Xuejiao, and Liu Kai.
