On September 21, 2024, the 5th China Marketing Strategy Forum was held at School of Economics and Management, Dalian University of Technology. This forum is hosted by DUT SEM, supported by the Chinese Marketing Association of Universities, and co-organized by Tsinghua University Press. The forum theme was "Marketing Innovation in the Digital Age". Experts and scholars attending the forum discussed and exchanged views on marketing strategy research in the digital age, challenges and opportunities faced by enterprise management practices, and the application of new technologies such as artificial intelligence and big data in marketing strategy research, etc. More than 100 scholars and representatives from nearly 40 universities across the country participated in the forum.

At the opening ceremony, Professor Zhu Fangwei, Vice President of Dalian University of Technology, and Professor Zhang Chuang, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the China Marketing Strategy Forum, delivered speeches respectively. The invited talks were conducted in three sessions. The first session of invited talks was hosted by Professor Jiang Qingyun from School of Management, Fudan University. Professor Li Jiatao from Business School, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Professor Zhou Zheng from Business School, University of Hong Kong, and Professor Wang Yonggui from Zhejiang Gongshang University delivered excellent presentations titled "Innovation Strategies of Chinese Firms under Uncertain Global Environment", "China Strategy Research: Challenges and Opportunities", and "Exploring the Logic of Marketing Intelligence Driving Market Growth", respectively.

The second session of invited talks was hosted by Professor Gao Weihe from College of Business, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. Professor Zhuang Guijun from School of Management, Xi'an Jiaotong University, shared his insights on the theme of "The Underlying Logic of Enterprise Marketing Strategy".

The third session of invited talks was hosted by Professor Shu Chengli from School of Management, Xi'an Jiaotong University. Liu Shoubo, Product Director of Dong'e Ejiao Co., Ltd., and Cao Hu, Global Partner and President of China Region at Kotler Marketing Group, respectively gave wonderful speeches on the themes of "Dong'e Ejiao's Brand Strategy Transformation Practice" and "Overflow: Strategic Marketing for Chinese Enterprises Going Abroad".

Xu Peijun, Founder and General Manager of Hangzhou Anbu Automobile Technology Group Co., Ltd., Associate Professor Zhong Weiguo from Guanghua School of Management, Peking University, and Assistant Professor Zhuang Mengzhou from Business School, University of Hong Kong, respectively delivered excellent presentations on " WEACAR: S2B2C Business Model Innovation and Application", " Customer Preference Discontinuity and Disruptive Innovation: Evidence from the FinTech Industry", and " Practical and Scientific Balance: Examples of Field Experimental Research".

The closing ceremony of the forum was hosted by Professor Qian Liping from School of Economics and Business Administration, Chongqing University. Professor Qian announced the outstanding papers of the forum and held an award ceremony. Professor Lu Changbao, Director of the Social Science Research Management Office of Fuzhou University, invited everyone to attend the 6th China Marketing Strategy Forum at Fuzhou University next year.
