On August 9th, Dean Ye Xin of School of Economics and Management met with Professor Elkafi Hassini, Associate Dean of Research at DeGroote School of Business, McMaster University in Canada. Professor Hu Xiangpei and staff from the International Cooperation and Accreditation Office participated in the meeting.

Dean Ye Xin introduced the basic profile of School of Economics and Management in terms of teaching, scientific research and internationalization, and hoped that the visit of Associate Dean Elkafi Hassini would further promote in-depth cooperation in talent cultivation and other aspects on the basis of existing cooperation between faculty members from both sides.

Associate Dean Elkafi Hassini expressed his gratitude for the warm reception from Dean Ye Xin. He introduced the major offerings of DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University, and conveyed his desire to work with School of Economics and Management at DUT to promote exchanges and cooperation.

The two sides then engaged in-depth discussions regarding faculty exchanges, short-term program and the "3+2" joint training program for students, joint doctoral training programs, MBA/EMBA professional degree programs, etc., achieving initial intent of cooperation. Moving forward, both sides will actively promote the implementation of relevant cooperation programs based on the consensus reached during the visit.
